The moon was rising just as the day was ending.
I was able to capture both the golden clouds and the details on the moon as the exposure was balanced between the two.
As the minutes went by, the sky got darker and so did the clouds.
As the clouds got darker and the brightness of the moon remained the same, I had to pick: to expose for the clouds or the moon…
It’s the moon against the dark blue sky.
Soon the contrast between the moon and the sky will be so high that the sky will look black in the photo.
The moon at sunset – my pick for this week’s Photo Challenge.
Beautifully done Nes – you caught the lighting perfectly in each image.

Try as I may, I’ve never captured the moon successfully. Kudos to you for great clear shots and the idea to capture so many changes in the sky. I like this post!

Thank you, Bert and Rusha, for dropping by and leaving your comment.
Shooting the moon starts with trial and error. Having clear skies and the right lighting helps.
I’m sure you’ll get your moon shots too!
Continue enjoying your travels!
