Kilyawan, Singing and a Flash of Yellow in the Morning

The black-naped oriole, locally known as Kilyawan, makes calling sounds that I find pleasant but can be quite loud. It usually sings at regular times, often in the mornings.

Despite their bright yellow color, they are hard to spot as they blend well with the leaves on tall trees. I chanced upon this Kilyawan outside my window due to its loud singing.

Sights and sounds to brighten up any morning.

    • Apparently it has a talent for hiding when it’s up in the trees!
Yes, it is vibrant, I thought it’s some exotic bird, but seems like it has settled in the neighbourhood.
      Thanks for dropping by, Margaret!
