Three Little Ducks That I Once Knew

Down to the river, they would go,
Wibble, wobble, wibble, wobble to and fro.

But the one little duck with the feather on his back

He led the others with a quack, quack, quack!

I’m guessing that these are mallards. 😊

This nursery rhyme often comes in the six-duck version, but the three-duck version is what I learned as a kid. The teacher would make us take turns as the “leader with the feather” who quacks and leads the others wobble around the classroom while singing this song. 😊

That’s how we learned English as a second language. And to count, too. So the teacher was being kind with three ducks instead of six.
