Can we really move on?
I recently talked to a friend who suffered a personal loss.
He said he couldn’t do some of the basic tasks he needed to do.
“I can’t focus.”

The future, anything farther ahead, is a little blurred.
A beautiful morning, in the distance, is hard to see with tears in your eyes.

“Take all the time you need.”

It was all I could say.
Beautiful, focused or not!

As the dear friend of someone still mourning the shocking death 9 years ago of her 54 year old husband, I very much appreciate the generosity and compassion of your post (and the apt photos). You said exactly the right thing.
