The Seasonal Colors of April

A time for flowers to bloom.

A time to form seeds and shed leaves for the coming rainy months.

And a time to enjoy tropical fruits.

I love the colors this season brings.

(April is the peak of the hot and dry season in Southeast Asia.)

      We start getting rain in May, mostly showers. As kids we were told that the first rain of May was lucky.
      The heavy downpours really come in June, though last year it wasn’t until the first week of July. So maybe we are feeling the effects of warming too.

    It’s interesting that you mention that April is hot & dry in SEAsia because we’ve had a peculiar amount of thunderstorms this past week in Singapore!
