It didn’t go away even when I switched my driver for the camera. This kingfisher is getting too comfortable with humans, I think. So who’s distracting who?
Just glad to be be able to hit the fairways again after almost a year. And the presence of fine-feathered friends makes it more enjoyable.
A friend asked me why I bring a camera to the golf course. “Are you there for golf or bird-watching?”
I replied that if I’m not playing well, then it’s for bird-watching — at least I can go home with a “birdie.” 🙂
I came across the Bird Weekly Challenge by Our Eyes Open, inviting “anyone who receives joy from watching & photographing birds.” I certainly do, falling squarely in the “novice nature lovers who happen to photograph birds” category.
This week’s theme is “Birds that eat fish as their primary diet.” I guess “kingfisher” qualifies.
Though I understand it also feeds on crabs, shrimps and even lizards, I have long stopped judging animals (and people) based on their diet.
But I digress.
May you have a great week ahead, distracted or otherwise! 🙂
