Images from 2020

Rather than favorites, I have picked some photos that tell last year’s story. Tina, who hosts this week’s photo challenge, also used images to tell her story of 2020.

For me, travel was pretty much limited to the start of the year.

Then the lockdowns began.

With limited mobility I was surprised to discover so much to photograph. The bees and butterflies, creatures small and beautiful, in the summer months right in my own front yard.

I was forced to stop and “smell the flowers” and it wasn’t a bad thing.

Sights in the neighborhood, or from the window, I watched the seasons come and go.

The moon went through its phases too.

At the end of the day it was just some reflection, a little peace and solace I was looking for. And simple pleasures with the people who matter most to me.

Its story has ended, but I am thankful for the year that made me see what is truly important.

  1. Wonderful post Nes – your images and your message are beautifully blended and your perspective on the year gone by is one we should all share. Of this set , the greenery in the rain and the drops of water on the branch stand out for me. Wishing you all the best in 2021

  2. You really have focused on the delight which we all have to hand, if only we choose to look. Though I must say, many of your sights are immensely colourful and characterful. Wonderful photos.
