We’re in the Same Storm but We’re Not in the Same Boat

“I heard that we are all in the same boat, but it’s not like that. We are in the same storm, but not in the same boat. Your ship could be shipwrecked and mine might not be. Or vice versa.

Like most things on social media, the original source is lost, but it says it so well.

My boat is simple…


it is rough in places, but it is solidly built…


there are cracks on the surface from trying times, but these are side by side with flourishes…


it will carry me through this storm, like many storms before…


it is not perfect, but it is a gift, and I am thankful for it…
