But wait! Studies have shown that they are beneficial to our health.

Aside from its nutritional value, Moringa has been used in Asia for traditional or folkloric medicine for conditions such hypertension, digestive or fertility problems. It does have scientific studies on its antibacterial as well as anti-inflammatory properties.

Garlic is more common in the west and usually associated with health benefits related to the blood and heart system.

Onions are valued, not only as an ingredient in many dishes, but is also used for scarring.

    • Thanks, Margaret! Malunggay I think grows mostly in Asia. Fortunately they grow easily and there’s a tree in a vacant lot in our village and we can just pick the leaves and flowers, and, voila, vegies! 🙂
